Wild Bloom Catering Comes to Memphis
I have been catering events for the last two years. My first one I took on was for a personal book club I had.
I themed it as a garden party—envision fresh floral arrangements, vintage china, tea, the mini strawberry cake with fresh fruits, small sandwiches, and all. The whole setting was inviting and exactly as I had hoped.
And right then, when everyone was gathered and enjoying the setting, food, and drinks more than they were worried about the book, it hit me: “Catering!” And as the thought came to mind, it’s like the guests heard me thinking. They asked if I catered and whether I would provide my services for their events.
I felt like I had finally found a way to put my love of farming, fresh foods, and florals together with cooking and presentation.
My very first paid event was a city event, serving 200 community members. I created the menu, the recipes, and catered the event. I was right where I loved to be. From there came another city event of a little over 50, and then it kept growing.
And now, having that experience in North Carolina, I can bring my passion and love of farm and food to you here in Memphis and the surrounding areas.
I have prepared packages showing a variety of styles of food, a weekend porch bakery stand, and special pop-ups that will happen on the farm.
And the amazing part is that all proceeds gained from my catering events go back to serving the community as I build on the newly acquired land. I found a home for the farm, and I will be giving right back to my community in several different ways. So I hope to start meeting and serving you soon!
